Details of the 7th OxSI Conference with Medical Students

Dear Students,

My name is Bobby Gould, a medical student at the University of Oxford, and I am reaching out on behalf of the Oxford Surgical Innovation (OxSI) Committee. I hope this email finds you well and that this is the appropriate avenue to send this information. We want to reach as many trainees and students as possible and I'm afraid there was limited contact information available online, so I apologise sincerely if it is not the correct email.
We are excited to share that the upcoming 7th Oxford Surgical Innovation Conference, taking place on Friday, 21st March 2025, at St. Catherine’s College, Oxford. The conference provides a great opportunity for attendees to develop their practical skills, present and share their own research at a national conference, and gain points for career applications later down the line.
I was wondering if you might be able to help me to advertise the conference to your students and trainees, so they are aware and able to arrange themselves to attend if interested? Please let me know if you need any additional information or if there is a more official way for me to request this.

The Oxford Surgical Innovation Conference is returning for its 7th consecutive year! OxSI was founded with the key aim of encouraging both safe and successful innovation in all aspects of surgical practice. We are accepting abstract submissions for poster and oral presentations, with prizes available in both categories (https://shorturl.at/RYoQs) - DEADLINE 12PM FEBRUARY 3RD 2025.
We have an exciting line-up of talks and practical workshops covering all aspects of surgery, including Prof. Carrie Ambler discussing the development of Topical Chemotherapy, and Mr. Giles Bond-Smith taking us through the changing frontier of Emergency Surgery. Please see the attached poster for more information.
OXSI will be held on Friday 21st March 2025 at St Catherine’s College Oxford, and there is an option to join in-person or virtually. Tickets for in-person/virtual are £25/£5 for students, £50/£15 for trainees and £80/£30 for consultants. Attendees will also receive CPD points, and in-person there will be lunch and refreshments throughout the day whilst you network!
