Scholarships – Now Open for Applications

We are delighted to announce the availability of a variety of scholarship opportunities for students. Scholarships open for applications include:

• AIB (NI) Travel Scholarship
• Alan Graham Fund

These scholarships have been advertised on the University’s website and social media (Twitter and Instagram). It would be appreciated if Schools/Professional Services could help further promote these scholarships on social media platforms, new student welcome events, during programme inductions, or others, to maximise the reach. Please also find attached to this email promotion images for your use.

AIB (NI) Travel Scholarship
The key points to note for this travel scholarship are:
? One scholarship of up to £650 may be awarded for travel that occurred or will occur between April 2025 and March 2026 (the outbound date must be within these dates).
? This award will be made to an exceptional undergraduate or postgraduate student of Queen’s University Belfast in recognition of their outstanding proposal for planned activities outside Britain/Ireland.
? The travel must be in connection with a programme planned to extend the student’s educational experience.
? Previous recipients of this scholarship are not eligible to apply.
? The student application form can be accessed here. The deadline for student applications is 4pm on Monday 31 March 2025
? The School Reference Form can be found here. Applicants have been asked to forward this link to the School Reference Form to their School referee (supervisor, advisor of studies etc.) along with a copy of their application. Students receive a clear guidance (in their application form) about the School reference process. The deadline for colleagues submitting the School Reference Form is 4pm on Monday 31 March 2025. Please note that if you would like to set an earlier deadline for the student applications to give your staff more time to complete the references, please communicate this with the students in your School.
Applications for the AIB (NI) Travel Scholarship will close on Monday 31 March 2025 at 4pm.

Alan Graham Fund
The key points to note for this travel scholarship are:
? A travel scholarship of approximately £650 shall be awarded annually to an undergraduate or postgraduate student of the University to pursue a period of study or research in North America.
? Preference will be given to a candidate whose study or research is in the field of American Studies.
? This application is open for travel that occurred or will occur between April 2025 and March 2026 (the outbound date must be within these dates).
