QUB students have been invited to join SWIMEDICINE, the United Kingdom's first longitudinal survey of the wellbeing of future doctors led by Dr. Caroline Kamau-Mitchell of Birkbeck, University of London, and the Medical Schools Council. Launched in 2025, SWIMEDICINE is open to current UK medical students, and you can join the survey by going to www.swimedicine.com
Please be assured that your responses to the survey will be private. Your responses are strictly confidential, anonymised, only summary statistics will be published, and no individual students’ responses will be published. Medical schools will not have access to your data, and reports will cover statistics across large numbers of students. It is important that you participate in the survey to help the researchers develop future policies and initiatives which will benefit all medical students and future doctors. The evidence will lead to advances in knowledge about occupational health science, benefiting wider populations globally.
I am encouraging all medical students within our school to contribute to this ground-breaking longitudinal study of future doctors.
To complete the survey, go to www.swimedicine.com then press the button labelled “click here to join the survey”. When prompted enter the access code COTTAGE2025BELFAST
Please do not share this access code with anyone who is not a QUB medical student.
