For the attention of female colleagues and students who need to:
- Be aged 18 years or older
- Reside in the Republic of Ireland or Northern Ireland
- Have a natural menstrual cycle, use hormonal contraception, or be perimenopausal (with or without HRT)
- Have experienced menstrual cycle-related symptoms in the past 6 months
My name is Rebecca Tarpey and I am a PhD researcher at Atlantic Technological University (ATU) Galway. My research focuses on menstrual cycle knowledge, attitudes, and nutritional practices, particularly within physically active populations.
As part of my PhD, I have developed a survey exploring menstrual cycle knowledge and nutritional management of menstrual symptoms among athletes and physically active individuals. I am currently recruiting participants across the island of Ireland, both North and South, and I would be very grateful if you would be willing to share the survey link with any colleagues, students, or networks you feel it may be relevant to. Participation is entirely voluntary, anonymous, and takes approximately 10 minutes to complete. The study has received full ethical approval from ATU Galway.
