An opportunity has been presented to medical students through Royal College of Psychiatrists (RCPsych) Perinatal Faculty to enter an essay competition with a financial prize and also attendance at the faculty meeting in London in November.
Medical Student Essay Prize
2026 title: Understanding paternal suicide in the perinatal period: An overlooked crisis
Deadline: 15 September 2026
Prize: £150 and subsidised attendance at the faculty conference
Eligible: medical students and FY doctors in the UK
Medical Student Project Prize
Deadline: 15 September 2026
Prize: £150 and subsidised attendance at the faculty conference
Eligible: medical students and FY doctors in the UK
Margaret Oates Research Prize
Deadline: 31 December 2026
Prize: £2,000
Eligible: Applicants must hold the MRCPsych and be on an approved higher training scheme in the UK.
Conference prizes
