Patient and Public Involvement (PPI) team

Post by bakpobome »

Hello Medical students,

My name is Kelly Doherty and I am a GP interested in medical education.

I'm conducting research that explores how learner agency—the ability of students to influence and take ownership of their learning—is understood, experienced, and supported in medical education. As the role of doctors evolves and lifelong learning becomes essential, understanding what makes medical students confident, capable, and independent learners is more important than ever.

I'm looking to involve a small group of medical students as part of our Patient and Public Involvement (PPI) team. Your role would be to provide input on the direction and interpretation of the review, helping ensure that student perspectives are at the heart of the project.

This will involve 2 online meetings with the researcher (timed around your availability) and you would be acknowledged on any publications that result from the review.

There also may be opportunity to contribute to the paper where you could be acknowledged as co-author as appropriate. If you’re interested or would like to know more, please fill in this form by the 19th November

I look forward to meeting you!

Kind regards,

Dr Kelly Doherty
