Dear Students,
This is an invitation to participate in a study being undertaken by Dr Eva Sweeney, an academic in the CBMSE and Mr David Ormond, a BSc Human Biology student. This study aims to compare the effectiveness of 3D printed anatomical models with lecture notes and labelled 2D diagrams, as learning resources in anatomy education.
The 80-minute session will take place in a PC suite in the MBC from 2pm – 3:20pm on Wednesday, February 4th 2026.
An optional 30-minute focus group will take place directly after the session. If you are interested please register here: https://forms.cloud.microsoft/e/qWSyxKq ... in=lprLink
The session will consist of short anonymous MCQ-style tests, time to interact with our 3D printed dynamic models and a digital survey. This session will serve as a learning opportunity to review, build on, or learn about different anatomical structures of the human body while also aiding the researchers in determining the best education tools to incorporate into the anatomy curriculum.
Participation in the study is voluntary. More information is provided in the subject information sheet (https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/qzfh7wo1 ... u&e=1&dl=0) and consent form (https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/jn7wpux5 ... 0&e=1&dl=0).
