Exciting news!
We are pleased to share the following two fundraising updates:

• RMBF Raffle

This year we are launching our first online RMBF Raffle! Our incredible Top Prize – a return trip for two on the Eurostar – is up for grabs with tickets costing just £5 each. Entering also means you’ll be in with a chance of winning our Runner Up Prize of a voucher for the Lightroom, in London. The raffle will be drawn on Wednesday 1st April, with winners notified on Thursday 2nd.

We want to make sure as many people as possible are aware of this amazing opportunity. Please could you share the attached poster with your medical students? You’re also welcome to share our social media posts about this on Instagram, Facebook or LinkedIn.

• Great North Run

We’re thrilled to have Great North Run 2026 RMBF charity places for Sunday 13th September. It’s a chance to join 60,000 people on the largest half marathon in the world, running to make a difference for doctors and medical students.

Enjoy a fantastic race experience with wall-to-wall crowd support. Take in famous landmarks along the way such as the Tyne Bridge, Gateshead Stadium and the finish line at the coast of South Shields, a short distance from the sea. Experience the iconic fly-over from the Red Arrows as you embark over the Tyne Bridge and finish up with the Après run zone, filled with food and drink stalls and lively music!
