Dear Students,

We would like to invite you to participate in a research study exploring medical students’ perspectives on breaking bad news in clinical practice. The study aims to gain an understanding of:

1. Your interpretation of breaking bad news
2. The role of breaking bad news in undergraduate education
3. Your experience with breaking bad news either during an educational event or clinical exposure
4. The emotions associated with breaking bad news
5. Your overall sense of preparedness to deliver bad news as a future clinician
6. Potential curriculum gaps or ways to improve undergraduate education

Your insights will help us gain an understanding of medical students’ experiences, perceptions and overall preparedness to facilitate these difficult conversations as a future clinician. It will also help shape the current curriculum and support available to students.
